-Start SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT - I can explain and support with specific details how sports reflect important political and historical situations both globally and here in the United States. - Create an outline for a paper proving and supporting this using SPECIFIC information we have learned in class. You may use your class notes and worksheets from your class binder to complete this assessment.
THURSDAY - March 20

-Turn in binders
-On a sheet of paper (for your binder) list as many rivalries as you can; then choose a local rivalry (Somerset vs. New Richmond) and write down traditions, stereotypes and why it is a rivalry (think history, culture, economics, geography, politics, etc.)
FRIDAY - March 21
-Go over the Somerset vs. New Richmond rivalry together for an example
-Start "Roll Tide / War Eagle" video and fill in the "sports rivalry" worksheet
